Hello GetDeb users,
as you all have surely noticed, the sites GetDeb.net, PlayDeb.net as well as the repository itself cannot be reached reliably for the last few days.
This is because on our current server the bandwidth provider has problems with packet loss and does not yet know how to fix this.
Because of that there is little we can do to resolve the issue.
Fortunately, the GetDeb and PlayDeb projects are supported recurrently with an amount of 200€ per month. And this only by one incredibly amazing benefactor whom we cannot thank enough for this.
So we decided to use the donation to take the server to a new home with hopefully a more reliable bandwidth provider.
Because of this expect a few more downtime the next days while we move things to the new provider.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
Have a nice week !

since now you can sponsor GetDeb and PlayDeb by subscribing to it via PayPal.
You can freely choose the amount you want to spend per month.
This will allow you to get your name, a link and a logo to be shown on the sponsors page and the front page of both getdeb.net and playdeb.net .
We are hoping that GetDeb and PlayDeb will finance themselves someday and are targeting for 200€ per month so we can pay the servers and to upgrade the amount of bandwith for the servers.
You can still make one time donations with paypal but won't get listed on the sponsors site this way.
So instead of donating 10€ once I would set up a subscription about 5€ and cancel it after two months ;)
We hope that our hope will come true and thank every sponsor in advance for supporting us.
You guys are awesome ;)
Half a year has passed again. It is time for some new Ubuntu release.
And with Ubuntu 13.10 released in a few days I do not disappoint you
to announce that the GetDeb repository for the new version is now
published. There are only some little problems with URD and Ubuntu-Tweak.
Everything should be fine and running.
So much fun everyone with the new Ubuntu and GetDeb for the next half year.
Per policy, when the new Ubuntu version is out the Ubuntu versions maintained
by GetDeb will be 12.04 and 13.10 because 12.04 is the latest LTS release
and 13.10 will be the latest release. Ubuntu 13.04 won't be maintained
