Thank you jedd! By adding the mirror to my sources.list I was able to get the updated Webilder installed. For the first time since upgrading to lucid I'm able to fire up my favorite wallpaper manager/changer. that makes me one happy penguin.

Good luck finding new hosting sponsorship! Playdeb is the only repo I've seen for any linux distribution that has a decent and comprehensive list of games and emulators.

Honestly never understood the free ride in the first place? Seriously, force me (and others) to subscribe for $5 per month via paypal. Not this donation nonsense, but as a service! :)
Have to agree with Matt. These services, after migrating to their new UI, became very valuable, since at that point it became just point and click to install anything. I think valuable enough that the web UI should be a subscription service. As everyone else noted, the packages on getdeb/playdeb are mirrored, so we haven't lost access completely. The thing is that people have become dependent on the web UI and don't use the native package managers in most Debian/Debian-based distros.

I've added the following line:

But don't i need an authentication key? Synaptic comes up with a message telling me that the souce can't me verified.

I am in the process of setting up a backup mirror. It isn't fully done rsync'ing, but should be in another day or two.
